22 JUNE 2020- PROVIDING PLASTIC BARRELS FOR WASTE DISPOSAL BY JOY OF GIVING INITIATIVE

TVK hamlet were finding it difficulty in disposing wastes as they have no separate space.    Today we bought 2 plastic barrels for them to dispose waste. Mr.Boorasamy has requested the Municipality personnel to come and collect the wastes 3 days once.

16th JUNE 2020-SPONSORING ALMIRAH FOR TVK HAMLET BY "LETS EDUCATE TVK CHILDREN" initiative

Since Thiruvalluvar Kudiyiruppu is surrounded by fields , rats sneak into their homes and eat away books, notebooks of children and also documents like patta, adhar card,  ration card. 
Hence, a common almirah was bought  by  "LETS EDUCATE TVK CHILDREN" initiative and kept in Anganwadi building. Keys were handed over to the heads of TVK.As usual Mr.Boorasamy  did all the ground work for buying and transporting it to the TVK hamlet.

31st MAY 2020- ACCOLADES FOR TVK CHILDREN AT "SHOW YOUR TALENT" COMPETITION

31.05.2020 

Delighted to share that our Thiruvalluvar Kudiyiruppu children Master Madhan ( 4* 1/2 years) and Master Kaliappan ( 3* 1/2 years) have won medals in the *SHOW YOUR TALENT*  program organized by the Police Department, Cuddalore district for children below 14 years of Chidambaram region. Our children drew special attention among other more fancied children in the competition. They recited Rhymes and moral stories with ease .

We register our thanks to Our anganwadi teachers Ms Revathi and  Ms.Devi for training these first generation children.

We also thank team Le Banyan ,Sandhanlakshmi madam for sponsoring healthy milk, nutritious snacks everyday.

15th MAY 2020- DISTRIBUTION OF PROVISIONAL KITS BY LE BANYAN DE PEC

18 sets of provisional kits generously sponsored by Le Banyan de PEC were distributed to 18 families of Thiruvalluvar Kudiyiruppu Hamlet at C.Manampadi, Cuddalore district by Mr.Boorasamy.  Hearty thanks to Le banyan members especially Mr.Venkatperumal Dr.Kalpana, Dr.Jayabarathy, Dr.Sandhanalakshmi and co. . Thanks to Mr.Murugaram IRS for coordinating this distribution and for arranging logistics too. Special thanks to Nagai Customs team for transportation.

04th JUNE 2020-DISTRIBUTION OF PROVISIONAL KITS BY LE BANYAN DE PEC

Thiruvalluvar Kudiyiruppu families got the 18 Grocery kits donated by Le Banyan de PEC (Alumini of Pondicherry Engg college) on 04Jun2020.

Distribution of Essentials during COVID-19 lockdown

3rd,7th and 14th April 2020

On the wake of COVID-19 lockdown, the essentials like rice,groceries and vegetables were distributed to TVK people by "Let Educate TVK Children" initiative from Karaikal. Mr.Boorasamy did all the ground work and reached the essentials to the hamlets.

Corona Awareness Camp

17th March 2020

Corona Awareness Camp organised at TVK. Dr.Arun Vargese and team elucidated the preventive measures from COVID-19 to the people of TVK.   TVK hamlets were sanitized with bleaching powders and liquids.

Blood Identification Camp

16th March 2020

Blood group identification camp organised by Mr.Boorasamy at TVK. Blood samples of TVK people collected and their blood groups identified.

Toilets construction for TVK

26th January 2020
5 nos. of toilets were inaugurated by Mr.Boorasamy and Women of TVK . These toilets were constructed for the people of TVK  as they were  openly defecating till then. It was due to the efforts of  Dr.Arun Varghese who collected sponsorship from his known generous hearts that toilets were constructed in TVK hamlet. Mr.Boorasamy supported all the ground works and completed the construction works.

Republic day celebration

Republic day celebrations at TVK. National flag is hoisted by Mr.Boorasamy in the presence of TVK teachers Ms.Devi and Ms.Keerthana.

Pongal celebrations at TVK

TVK people celebrated Pongal in a grand manner with eye catching traditional folk Kollattam Kummiattam in the presence of Dr. Arun Varghese, Mr.Boorasmy and "Lets educate TVK Children"team from Karaikal.  

Appointment of Tuition teacher by "Lets Educate TVK Children" initiative

06th January 2020

The "Lets Educate TVK Children" initiative team interviewed and appointed Ms.Keerthana, an MA English graduate from Govt. Arts college for taking tuition to TVK children. She will teach basics of all subjects till 10th standard and She will teach both in the morning 6-8 am and in the evening 5-7 pm. She will be evaluating students through tests and other means and will guide them to improve and learn better.

Appointment of new Anganvadi teacher by Nizhalgal

 01st January 2020, 

Mrs. Devi has been appointed teacher by Team Nizhalgal  to take care of the Thiruvalluvar Kudiyiruppu  Children at Sub anganvadi centre of Thiruvalluvar Kudiyiruppu. It is to be noted that the former teacher Ms.Revathi  tendered resignation on personal grounds.
